The Route

Patrick Durgin and Jen Hofer met in a supermarket in Iowa City in 1998. They have not lived in the same city since 1999. Jen currently lives in Los Angeles, where she teaches poetics in the MFA Writing Program at CalArts and works as a court interpreter. She works iwth the Little Fakers collective to create Sunset Chronicles, a neighborhood-based serial urban drama populated entirely by hand-made marionettes, and she is happily a founding member of the City of Angels Ladies' Bicycle Association, also known as The Whirly Girls. Patrick now lives in Chicago. He has taught literature and writing at SUNY-Buffalo, The College of St. Catherine, the University of Michigan, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. He is founding editor and publisher of Kenning Editions and proprietor of www.da-crouton.com.
