Kunst og Kultur is Norway’s oldest journal for art history. The journal has as a purpose to publish the best from art-history research, written by leading art historians in Norway and imparted with an abundant selection of illustrations attached to the material. The journal’s main emphasis is on pictorial art, architecture and design/handicraft, but it also contains topical debate and book reviews. The subjects may be international or Norwegian and span from old art to today’s art expression. Kunst og Kultur is directed to professionals, students and those who are generally interested in art. The journal is published by Universitetsforlaget in collaboration with the National Museum of Art, Architecture and Design and with financial aid from The Research Council of Norway. Kunst og Kultur is issued quarterly.
